Cormorant Crescent Residence

Peregian Beach, Qld

This house was built in the 70’s- cavity brick with suspended concrete floors- very strong, and not well suited to the beautiful site overlooking the adjacent National Park. The challenge was to transform this very sound fabric into a relaxed, contemporary residence, adding character and enhancing the connection the stunning views of the park. Sustainability is addressed through careful material selection, reuse and recycling, vastly improved passive cooling and airflow, and the installation of solar power and hot water.
